We are looking for Folkestone based artists who would like to display their work as part of a group show at Fourth Wall Folkestone during Open Art 24 this September.
Specifically we are looking for artists who identify as women, who don’t already have a studio or space to show their work for the festival.
In addition to Open Art, this show will be part of a wider programme at Fourth Wall called “Sick Of It” which is a multidisciplinary series of events, exhibitions, talks and workshops curated by Fourth Wall Director Sarah Lloyd. As part of this, we want to showcase pieces about the lived experience of the artist with a focus on mental health, women’s health or diet culture.
As this is an Open Studio event, we are welcoming work in progress or finished pieces in any form or media. Eg: sketch books, 3D work, digital work, performance, animation etc. (Any work which requires tech, you’ll need to supply that too eg: projector.)
