EVERY BODY: A Community Life Drawing Celebration brings together works created by members of the Folkestone-based EVERY BODY Life Drawing Circle. This vibrant exhibition invites viewers to explore the human form through a lens of inclusion, experimentation, and care.
Featuring sketches from first-time artists to seasoned practitioners, the show reflects the beauty and complexity of diverse bodies often absent from traditional art spaces. The project offers a quiet act of creative resistance: a celebration of trans, queer, disabled, and marginalised identities through mark-making, presence, and connection.
Join us for a special life drawing circle at Fourth Wall on Wednesday 1st October, 5–7pm. An open, welcoming space to create, connect, and make art together. This relaxed session is the final chance to draw work for inclusion in the celebratory exhibition. Booking essential!
ABOUT THE GROUP
The EVERY BODY Community Life Drawing Circle was founded by Laura J Brown and Holly Casio in November 2023. Its vision was to create a life drawing space that celebrates every body. Sessions are inclusive, beginner-friendly, and body-positive, welcoming artists and models of all genders, sizes, backgrounds, and experience levels.
The circle champions diversity in who gets to be seen and who gets to see. Many of our models have never modelled before, and some are also artists in the group, creating a unique atmosphere of mutual respect and shared creativity. The group centres queer, trans, disabled, and neurodivergent voices, and is rooted in the belief that art is for everyone.
