Embodied is an exploration of women’s embodied experience in clay and connection, through exhibition, reflection and workshops. Open to all women, shared with all people.
Led by Madi Strong; Ceramicist and Psychotherapist whose commitment to embodied practice is the ground of her Clinical and Artistic work.
WORKSHOPS
FLESH OF MY FLESH

Clay body workshops, led by Madi Strong (Ceramicist and Psychotherapist) who invites each participant to explore and express the felt sense of their body in clay. Each piece made may be taken away or left for firing for a small additional charge.

Sat 20 Sep, 2pm (open to all)
Sun 21 Sept, 2pm (open to children and their parents)
Wed 24 Sep, 11am (open to all women)
Thu 25 Sep, 11am (open to all)
Fri 26 Sep, 4pm (open to all women)
There are 4 places available at each session.
Each workshop will last for 75 minutes.
Cost £10 per participant.
Please note under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Deep Knowing

A closed reflective group for all women facilitated by Madi (Ceramicist and Arts Psychotherapist). The group will meet for six sessions during the Embodied exhibition at times it is closed to the public:
Fri 19 Sep (7pm), Sat 20 Sep (9.30am), Sun 21 Sep (9.30am)
Fri 26 Sep (7pm), Sat 27 Sep (9.30am), Sun 28 Sep (9.30am)
This an opportunity to dive deep, share and reflect on our embodied experience and relationship with our bodies in a safe, private and respectful environment. There will be creative, as well as a talk-based sharing as the group unfolds. Art therapy, psychodrama, somatic expression are all part of Madi’s tool kit.
Participants are asked to commit to maintaining the confidentiality of the group and attending all six sessions.
Only 8 places available.
Cost £90 per participant for the series.
Over 18’s only.
This exhibition forms part of Still Sick Of It: a multidisciplinary series of creative events, talks, exhibitions and workshops exploring Women’s Health and diet culture.
