£15 per hour / 15 hours per week (hours will be flexible)

What is the project?

Fourth Wall Folkestone Community Interest Company have teamed up with The University of Kent to deliver a research project exploring the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on mental wellbeing in the local area using creative methods. We are looking for a Community Researcher to join the project team. 

What is a community researcher?

Community Researchers can be anyone within a community, who help others to explore a certain topic. 

Anyone can be a community researcher. No prior experience is necessary and all training will be provided. For this project it is essential that you live in Folkestone. 

The Community Researcher will know about their local area, be engaged with their community, and have an interest in art, mental health or the impact of the cost-of-living-crisis. 

What does the role involve?

In this role we will jointly decide on informal and creative ways to hold meetings,  

carry out interviews and hold focus groups which bring people together to talk about how the cost-of-living crisis has affected their mental wellbeing. This may take place at Fourth Wall or other places in Folkestone.

Access to a laptop and Wi-Fi is essential for this role. (Please contact us if this is a barrier to you applying, we are happy to explore options.)
