SICK OF IT EGG-XHIBITION OPEN CALL

This year, for our very first Fourth Wall Folkestone pop up – we’re combining our annual ‘Sick of It’ festival with our fundraising ‘Egg-xhibition’.

The Sick Of It Egg-xhibition will encompass all of Fourth Wall Folkestone’s core interests: Women’s health, mental health and challenging diet culture.

We are looking for local artists who would like to explore these themes and make a piece using a blank ceramic egg as a starting point. These will be exhibited and sold as part of a fundraising egg-exhibition at The Stables Gallery on Tontine Street.

There will be a trail of artworks leading from the top of The Old High Street all the way to the Egg-Xhibition at The Stables Gallery on Tontine Street.

If you’re interested in creating an egg artwork that explores themes related to women’s health, mental health, or diet culture – and you have personal experience, or have been impacted by the experiences of someone close to you – we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch!

We will provide a blank ceramic egg for you to decorate in your own style in any medium you like. All eggs will be displayed in the egg-xhibition fundraiser. All proceeds raised go back into the Fourth Wall Folkestone for upcoming projects.

Please note we are unable to schedule collection or drop off at any other times. Please ensure you are available on these dates before expressing an interest of involvement.
